74HC594, serial to parallel, 1 Element, 8 bit, DIP, 16 Pins

Both the shift register and the storage register provide separate clocks and direct override clear inputs. A serial output is provided for cascading purposes. Both the shift register and storage register clocks are triggered on a positive edge. If the two clocks are connected together, the shift register is always one count pulse earlier than the storage register. Parallel output has high current capability.
